The BIG Picture

Hillsong concert 2014

Hillsong concert 2014

I was having a conversation recently with a friend about those times in our lives when God speaks loud and clear- it’s so evident that it’s Him- it’s like a moment of transcendence.

Well this past March God spoke loud and clear to me. I was in a season of being SO frustrated and hurt by people saying things like “Well I guess you’re not ready yet” or “You still have more growing to do with God” and things of that nature. (A lot of people can say some pretty dumb and hurtful things- so when in doubt of what to say, say nothing at all and just sit with that person in their pain. Your presence means more than some cliché or opinion.) Anyways, I was confused wondering if what they were saying had any truth, “Were they seeing something we couldn’t see? Were we really not ready? ” We were at a Hillsong concert when for a moment God whispered to my spirit “It’s not that you’re not ready- it’s that the world’s not ready”. I remembered some of the greatest world-changers of the Bible came from women who struggled with infertility for many years- Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, John the Baptist- had they not been born at the right time, they wouldn’t have had the impact they had. Our children are meant for greatness- they will be put on this earth to solve a problem and fulfill a purpose that is unique to them. That moment of transcendence made all the self-blame and anger go away. He allowed me to see the bigger picture- if even for a moment.

Jeremiah 1:5 “I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb.
Before you were born I set you apart
and appointed you as my prophet to the nations.”

As a side note: We have added a “Prayer Page” to our vlog. We don’t want you going through your journey alone- so comment on the page and let us know how we can pray for you!
